I've had a couple failures lately that I cannot explain.

The first was on a walnut tabletop which was grain filled
and allowed to cure 36 hours. Following that it was
sprayed with a coat of Duravar and everything was fine.

As the next coat of Duravar was drying, it wrinkled.
Now, I've seen this before, though it has been a few years.
It can be sanded out, shot with vinyl sealer and topcoated
as long as the wrinkles are not so bad that air has gotten
under them. Right or wrong, that is the way I dealt with it
the only time I ever saw it before and that particular project
has held up well.

Now, less than a week since the tabletop failure, it has
happened again. This time on the sides of a dresser.
(all other parts are fine)

This shows a case where the wrinkles could be sanded, sealed and recoated.

This shows where air has infiltrated the topcoat layer. Total failure!
It was shot with vinyl sealer, then Krystal, sanded with 600
after about 2 hours, then shot again with another 4 wet mils of Krystal.

In this case it was ML. Campbells' Krystal.
(which I think is the same beast as the Duravar, only water white)

I'm sure hoping someone can tell me what might be the cause.

I'm flummuxed.

Sorry about the ramble rumble.
