We have the opposite problem facing us. (Compared to Mark

A turn of century hand crafted solid rosewood table. The 4" wide
lumber frame around the 60" lumber center panel has maybe 8
sectional joints. Each joint appears almost white under whatever
finish is left, almost as if someone somewhere sometime smeared
glue or putty into the butt joints.
Any idea?
