Sean,
You asked about touch up cases? I am a nut about
touch up cases and have gathered a small collection
of them. The one I use every day is a version of the
touch up case Star used to sell. Mohawk stopped
offering the case after they purchased Star and Ron
Ashby at www.woodfinishsupply.com
sold them for
a while. The case is basically a leatherette covered
tackle box that is deep enough to hold aerosol cans. I
bought one from Ron Ashby at Wood Finish Supply
and I found a similar faux croc covered case for
$20.00 at an antique shop. It had been used by a
large animal vet. I'd love to have another one in the
event I hire another employee someday.
Another case you might like is the box that Touch Up
Depot used to sell and that Furniture Medic used to
provide to their guys. It is the D-Flite tack box and it
is actually a tack box used at dog shows. Check it
out at
http://www.brownkennelsupply.com/petp010.htm.
As for a ride, I found that my rolling billboard (2005
GMC Safari mini cargo van) works for me. I have my
name and website on the outside and I get calls about
once a month from people who start the conversation
with. "I saw your van..." The van is big enough to haul
around furniture that one person can manage.
However, if all you are doing is on-site repair, the
Baja will work just fine.
