I met Ed Vance last weekend at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking
during a two day spot repair class. Ed has been doing spot repairs since
1973 in the Dayton Ohio area. I asked to see his case which he just
happened to bring along. I took a few pictures and thought that the spot
repair/touch up guys in Groop might be interested in seeing how one guy
has taken an old Star spot repair case and modified it to his needs.
Ed has a great collection of old pigmented powders including Star #36 Red Lead,
a great color that was banned in the early 70's because of it's lead content.
I invited Ed to join our Groop and I hope he takes us up on our 30 day
free
trial. I bet he has some great stories to tell and techniques to share.
It was cool to see someone as skilled as Ed still taking classes....
looking
for an idea or a technique that will make him better or faster.
