AToday I went to see the
Superintendent of Special Events for the parks here in the
Wilmington area.  They have a enterprise zone program to care
for some of the old mansions that now belong to the State.

Ms. Judi Jeffers (the above mentioned Superintendent) rents out
this old wonderful, beautiful mansion for special events like large
weddings, corporate affairs etc. They take the proceeds and
reinvest them into historic preservation of the property I visited.

About 1 year ago a very large triple panel Rococo (I think that is
the style)  mirror fell to the floor, the wiring gave way. It has
breakage at the frame corners and other areas. It is beyond my
skills to repair. The Interior Designer working with the State says
she can not find a replacement. Their aim is to repair the mirror
frame if affordable.

Enter Steve Nerman, I told them a little about "Groop" and this
gentleman in Fredericksburg named Steve Nerman who in another
thread invited me down to see him.

Steve, I`m giving these 2 gals your phone number and web site as
they want to send you some digital photos and get a quote. If it
works out and their employee packages framed mirror I will
"Come A Visiting" !

Living & Learning.

Steve Nearman replies:

Well Terry, how about you give them a price and do the job yourself?
Once you get  the job you can bring it  here and we can work on it
together! I'll show you what I know and you show me what you know.
It will be a collaboration of  fun and learning. They apparently have a
degree of confidence in you. So if you tell them you will be working
in conjunction with me,  They will most likely pick you over anyone
else. You can also write the whole trip off as a business expense. We
could even make a little side trip to see Kevin Handcock  who lives
near where I grew up. I have been threatening him for some time that
I would visit. But something always seems to come up.You would
provide the extra motivation to get me there.
