I got this dresser about 3 weeks ago and the man basically
said "fix it like it was when it was new and make it look good"
so I gave him a price and there it went.

It had that old black looking shellac and you can tell
it had the tiger stripes. I assumed as old as it was
it was original "stripes" in the wood. WRONG!

When I stripped it, it went away from here.
Now the piece has attractive looking wood --
I'm just asking if there is a way of using shellac
to make that "TIGER LOOK"

Also the dresser has two serpentine drawers with dovetail
and they are missing wood and the man wants them fixed.

My question is, is it hard to make them or is there a place
I can order them. They do have veneer on the face.

I would also like to know what time frame this piece might have
been produced. I'm still learning about this but I guessed around
1910 - 1920. Maybe ya'll could guesstimate better for me.
I'm only 28 so I'm green around the edges.
