For my flow over,
I had a screen made that really worked slick. The "basket" was smaller in
diameter than the 5 gallon bucket which held the remover. I positioned it directly under the drain,
with
the pick-up tube between the outside of the basket and the inside of the bucket. I don't
recall ever having my pump clog up. The basket is made from stainless steel, available to
buy in sheet form. Mine was spot welded which I'm sure any auto-body shop
could do.
