Groop,
Need some Groop advice. Moving job. Leather on the inside back of
several dining
room chairs is stretched and dented. I have
attached
photos of the worst chair. The others have more of trace lines.
The
customer valued the set of 8 chairs at $2,000, so the
quality is not that great.
How do I remove the dent from the leather?
My initial thoughts are to
1) remove the cover,
2) apply steam or water to tighten the leather
3) return the cover and
4) add padding under the leather when installed to help.
The chair covers appear to be sewn as one unit and slipped over
the chair frame.
We have a good upholster on staff, so the
stretching and stapling is not a problem.
Thanks in advance.
