Kevin H and Groop,
Have a moving job show up last week. Veneer on a pair of piano key got torn
off during the move. We have the pieces to the Brambach baby grand piano
but have never had to repair piano keys. I do not think the keys are made
of ivory. I've got some questions and looking for some help.
Can the keys be repaired? Can the pieces be reglued and leveled properly.
Can the color be made to match? Can new veneer tops be purchased and
installed?
Can the keys be rebuilt with a composite material? And painted to match.
Can the two broken keys be replaced? Can a novice replace keys? Can only
two keys be replaced to do all need to be replaced to get an uniform color?
The piano is upstairs and we are skinny white boys. If we do the work, it
is going to be done on-site.
Thanks guys, I appreciate your help
