I read an article, I think it was in Fine Woodworking, about using
an elastic band to veneer around cylinders. A few week later I had
to do that very thing on a fireplace mantle. The stuff works great
and can be reused many times. It also comes in different strengths.
Great for gluing odd shaped things you cant get a clamp on or
don't want clamp marks on. I think we may have talked it some
time back.

I used to use rubber bands and strips of old innertubes. This band
works better.

You can purchase it at any medical supply house. Its used for
exercising, hence the different strengths (6 inch X 18 feet).
