This set came across my path over the holiday weekend.
The seller dated it 1880's. She also has the history, but
does not seem to know much about older furniture. It's
been in Newcastle Indiana its entire life, once belonged
to Edgar Bergman (Ingred's uncle) and the woman he
lived with, who ended up with the set. I'm not sure I
have all the facts straight yet.

I would like some help with identifying these pieces.
With some help from Mitch and the library at DCTC
there is Jacobean, Renaissance Revival and maybe
some Gothic influence. Being from the Victorian era
can I assume it's walnut? Can I assume it's Victorian?

Time only allowed me 5 minutes to see this set in
person. From what I've learned from the video
"Identification of Older and Antique Furniture" I
should have been looking at what kind of joints were
in the drawers and the seat corner braces for a few
clues. The closest pictures I've found were in
"Depression Era Furniture." These similar items are
from Berkey and Gay who's origin begins in 1859.
Might this actually be a depression era set?

The set consists of 6 chairs, the table (reflectory
draw table?) and the sideboard. I'm considering
making an offer. She's asking $600.
