Hello Groop,
The past few months at DCTC have been very busy. I'd like to share a few
photos of what I've accomplished. This is a set my wife and I bought in
Indiana over the holidays. You may remember my inquiry regarding style and
era. In all, six chairs have been re-glued, stripped and finished, along
with a table and sideboard, which only required stripping, finishing and
some minor repair. I varied from the original colors only to please myself.
A big thanks to Mitch for all his inspiration. I truly appreciate all the wisdom he has bestowed upon us. Many of the things I have learned this year were applied on this project and it was really fun to see so many aquired skills coming together at once. Having the confidence to do a polyester fill on the front after rub out really made me happy!
