Hi,
I would appreciate any information on dating these pieces that anyone in
Groop would be willing to share. This is what I know:
The chest is oak- the back is a series of slats over a thin plywood and I am
guessing 1910 ish???
The green table (probably painted in the 50's- I think they only sold one
color of paint during that period) has oak legs but Roger is unsure what the
rest if it is made of. There is a large chunk of wood that swings out to
support the drop leaves- no hinges, etc.
The spindle table is definitely handmade and is oak. The legs may have been
from another piece. The turnings are very different in size. We might put
a solid bottom in it??
The rocker is quite tiny and is also constructed of oak. Seat and back will
be caned.
Thanks- I want to sound as knowledgable as possible when discussing these
pieces and Groop has always been very helpful when I need that kind of
information.
