The thread on shop safety got me thinking about the
radial arm saw that Sears said they would not put a guard on.
A few scraps of Masonite and an hour of time made
a functional guard that stays out of the way,
yet protects the blade from stray fingers.
A fellow would have to really try to get his fingers in there now.
I guess I cold still just pull the saw over my hand :-(
I think the time spent was worth it.
With 2 teenagers using these things, safety is rather important!
