I have eight dining chairs with an opaque pigmented finish. They
are smooth with no trace of woodgrain. The finish does not remove
easily with lacquer thinner and feels hard to the touch. From the
customer's point of view the only problem is the chipped finish.
She wants them redone in the exact color.
I want something more durable than NC lacquer. Conversion
varnish and precat lacquer come to mind.
If I choose not to strip the chairs what primer and finish would
you suggest?
