The springs you are talking about are called No Sag Springs by the
manufacturer but in the trade I have always heard them referred to as Zig
Zag Springs.  The bracket I use for re-attaching those springs goes by
different names.  My supplier calls them a Zig Zag Spring Repair Kit,
although its just the bracket and a little wire retainer.

There is a patent # 3891198 stamped on the bracket.  I looked it up and found this
page: http://tinyurl.com/6cudc  which I have shortened using tinyurl.  There is a diagram
of the bracket which demonstrates its use.  The page requires QuickTime to view.

I've also attached a photo of one of my clips.

I purchase them from Keeton Supply in Fort Worth, TX

Don't let the cost of $18.95 for 20 keep you from purchasing them.  They work
great, never had one pull out and I charge an additional $1.25 for each bracket I use.
