I have a 1924 English Grandfather Clock that needs the veneer restored on.

The case is 1/4 sawn oak veneer that was damaged by salt water flood during Hurricane Ike. In some places the veneer is oft and flexible and other areas stiff and hard. In one photo you can see how bad the veneer is buckled in some areas but not all.

 

I just wanted to get ideas on the methods you would use for restoration.
