At GroopShop I mentioned what good results I am having
with 6" 3M 260L Production Resin Bond Fre-Cut P600,
P1000 and P1500 paper. I buy it at an automotive paint store.
It is hook and loop and you must have a
foam interface pad to put between it and your ROS.
I usually use it dry and it powers up beautifully.
Only corns if the surface is dirty or not dry.
Before my last coat of waterbase, I hand sand the top
surface dry and find that I get a better off the gun finish.
I mentioned this to Russ Rameriz in one of our discussions
and he gave me a technical reason as to why it worked.
Don't remember - but it does.
When sanding by hand I attach the sanding disk to the
interface pad and use it as a holder. Works wonderful.
If I'm going to rub out to a gloss
(after I've sanded the finish flat)
I use the P600, P1000 and P1500 then Finesse-It.
