This fish jumping out of water was broken in the move from Belize.
The dealer who sold it called the wood "cericot". Looks like
rosewood to me, but doesn't smell like it. It is very heavy and will
be my challenge of the week to re-glue.
Ideas? West System? AV1235? Would like to avoid dowels,
screws, etc. I'm designing a jig to hold it while it's being clamped -
probably with flat twine.

Thanks to each of you for your suggestions. This baby was landed with a
6lb line and a bamboo pole. OK, maybe not.
I ended up using West system with their colloidal silica. Choosing the
slower
setting 206 hardner proved a good idea because the plan to clamp with flat
twine didn't work - which only became obvious, of course, when the pieces
were wet with glue. While bemoaning my lack of wire coil clamps or
surgical tubing, I spun a couple of small nails in between the scales and
started wrapping cotton twine around using the nails as anchors. A large
spring clamp provided a little piece of mind, if not a little pressure.
The other complication came after carefully setting the jig, dry clamping
for
fit, and separating the pieces just enough to apply the glue - it didn't
match up
anymore! This is where the long set glue became the saving element in the
project. Took another 10 minutes to get it to fit.
The glue joint is really close to where I wanted it, only compromised by the
edge
of the break having been bent by the force of the original fracture. I can
fix that.
This ziricote fish is back to 37" and 30 lbs! I really appreciate your
help.
Now, back to old furniture.
