The leather seat on this Roycroft chair needs replacing.

I have a source for the thick (8/9 oz.) leather,
but will need some advice on how to
best color it black and make it look old.

I have saved old tacks, they are in great shape.
I plan to go back into same holes,
but need advice on how to stretch the leather tight.

I know nothing about upholstery, but I do have
an upholsterer who is open to new things,
she's just not familiar with this type of work.

With her help and your help, I think we can do this.
