Hi Groop,
I've received this cross that was carved some place in
Africa. I also received the side of a crate that came
from Africa 3/4 lumber, which I have no idea what
kind it is and three trunks ( I think willow trees).
The object is to inset the cross into the side of the
crate (the crate was cut out in the shape of another
cross, see pictures) and attach the tree trunk to the
crate. The pictures will make more sense.
This object is to be used in church. They want to be
able to use it as a staff and carry it down the center isle
to the pulpit.
Question being
How could I attach the trunk to the crate ?
How could I attach the cross to the other cross (crate)
(preferably without using fasteners that I wouldn't end
up drilling holes into the carved cross).
The carved cross has a pretty good twist in it, that doesn't
allow it to lay flat. I hope the pictures will show
that.
Any ideas would be welcomed
Thanks
