I picked up an 8 foot long craftsman style buffet this morning. When I got
back to the shop I realized how the glass was installed. Each pane, (42
pcs.) of glass is held in by 168 mitered sticks. The nails are set below the
surface so prying so as to not mar the surface will be a challenge. The very
thought of removing and reinstalling them is overwhelming. I bid enough to
cover the time but I don't want to do it. Am I crazy to think I can strip
and finish by masking the glass? This is a first for me.
