I brought this up to "groop" some months ago, wanting input
regarding training workshops. At the prompting of a number
of people, I've decided to set aside the week of June 12-17
to teach a 2 1/2-3 day workshop. Whether it's Monday thru
Wednesday, or Thursday thru Saturday won't matter to me.
I'm willing to work with the majority of those interested in
attending.

I would find four students to be best for my shop's limitations,
also considering time restraints. I'm open to suggestions, and
will cater to best interests, but what I would like to
demonstrate is working with horse hair in traditional
overstuffed techniques. The ideal project for each student
would be an Eastlake-style side chair, ready for upholstery.

I have considered making standard ottoman frames for each
student, adding this into the tuition, possibly holding the
completed, pre-paid frame as a deposit towards the seminar.
This way, we could apply variations of technique with each
student's ottoman, all learning at the same time. I'm open to
work this out however y'all think best...

Of course, the classes will become less structured with
conversations and questions, but I'm sure it would be a good
time for all. If this sounds of interest to you, send me a wire,
or give me a call at 402.245.3542.

Here's a couple pictures of what I have in mind. This is a
cushion deck to be topped with a down pillow. I shared
pictures of the cloven feet here a couple years ago. Due to
a divorce settlement, this job is just now coming back for
completion.

Sincere thanks,
