Hey, this aint brown and shiny, but it's shiny.

I got a set of four sitting by a dumpster.
I figured after a month I ought to snag them up.
Not really my style, but they were same age as me.
Does anyone else see Betty Rubble?

Chrome frames were all stamped 10-54,
but the upholstery was dated up until 10-55.
(I was born 9-9-55)

The original vinyl was unbacked "knotty pine."
Wild looking stuff ...

There were differences easily un-noticed with the 1/8" bead
in the '54 and '55. I used chrome tinsel bead. (50-60's auto)

Seats are all new construction to original design.
Backs were mostly salvaged for basic structure,
but some parts were replaced. All new chipboard
and padding, of course. Original was very moldy.

Chrome frames were trued up and welded. Not badly pitted.
I figure a good bacon grease atmosphere, with cigarette smoke
film, kept them rust-free. I rubbed them down with 0000 wool
and wax. New glides, and they are good to go.

For sale...
