After purchasing a tin full of old buttons at an auction,
I noticed that some of the buttons were made from Mother of Pearl.
They weren't worth much, maybe 50 cents each in an antique shop,
but then I realized how they already looked old
and were of more varied colors than I can buy new,
at $10.00 per square inch.
Not to mention some are Abalone and with the holes in them
I can fix them to a backing board while cutting, pretty cool!
