** Wood frame with loose seat cushions supported
** by what appears be large rubber bands or rings.
** Each ring is secured in a grooved half circle,
** each end on the underside of the back and front rails.

I have an old wrecked set in the garage I plan on fixin' up one day.
Here's a pic of the seat (what I can get to anyway) to show the setup.
It is about an 1/8" round rubber band you could say.
