Here is a pic of the inside of our spray booth.
I have not experienced any problems you mention.
There is extreme high volume movement of air.
The back wall plenum is serviced by a 36" uptake
tube axial fan.  Overhead from where I was standing
is the intake.  A plenum in the ceiling serviced by
a downdraft 24" tube axial fan.  When the doors are closed
it pulls and pushes are large volume of air.  The fans
come on automatically when the door is closed.  Thus the
air is changed out before the tech begins to spray.

The spray booth is in an enclosed room.  Nothing is done
in this room other than line up to go in or line up to cure.
So it's pretty close to a "clean room" setup.

The three pics show the inside of the spray room, one without
The pole is the intake line, the one with the pole is the
Outgo or cure end of the line.
