I have a door (see attached picture) that the customer wants preserved. They want a clear coat over it to protect it and plan on using it in their home. They have young kids so something durable would be good. Curious if you have any ideas what to put on top that won't peel off.

 

I don't want to sand anything if possible. I'm pretty sure one side is Lead paint and the other is more recent, I can remove the more recent paint  with the alcohol family. The Lead side does not want to move. Any ideas?
