Pictured are two of the 6 chairs I'm going to be stripping then
painting with a black lacquer. The exception is the seat which
will be clear coated to expose the wood grain.
The way we usually handle the refinishing is to mask off the seat,
spray on the black, remove the masked off seat and clear the
whole chair. As most of you know, masking around all those
spindles can be so time consuming. (I usually send Dad home
with a chair or 2 and let him do it while watching the Red Sox.
(Oops! Sox are out of it.)
Short of knocking the backs off the seats and regluing later,
does anyone have any other ideas to could save time?
