Y'all,

I thought I'd share a few pics of some strange things
that have wandered into my shop lately.

The hand drill appears to be from the late 40's or early 50's

It has so many adjustments you can almost tie it in a knot.

The sled is called a double bunk. They may be common in
northern areas, but are rarely seen in this neck of the woods.
This one looks to have been made around 1900
and only needed minor repair to the basic components.

I made the wood rick bed because I have seen beds like that
on sleds and wagons. I took these pics before painting the bed
so that it would contrast better with the base, once painted it
blended very well and looked like it might have come with it.

This sled was designed to be pulled by people,
but there are much larger versions that were used
for logging and heavy hauling in the winter.

The doggie examined the entire contraption and
then decided it was safe to sit and watch.

Mebbe Wendy has a dog or two that could pull it.
