Y'all,
I thought you might be interested in a bookcase
that I just built and finished.
It's 7' 6" high and 6' 10" wide 12"deep.
It is made of mahogany and required
about 150 board feet of 12 inch stock.
It took about 55 hours to build and finish.
It is meant as a room divider so no back; for stiffness,
all verticals are in dadoes and a 1.5 inch face frame
with mortise and tendon joints is glued to the face.
I was a worried that it might not be stiff enough even
with the face frame, but that proved not to be a problem.
