Got a call from a motel supplier. The local Comfort Inn rejected
their shipment of 150 chairs. The color match was off by a mile.

Fortunately they need to go darker.

They are whitewood. Toned and top coated w/ precat (supposedly).

I'm trying to figure how much time I'll have in one.

Proposed schedule-

Transport ~20 per batch,
Remove cushions
Make sure they're clean,
Scuff sand 320
Wet out w/ lac. thinner
Tone to color match
Scuff
Topcoat w/ precat, one coat(?),possibly 2 on the arms.
Reinstall cushions
Transport

I will first match the current color on a sample board, add new
toner. Get approval, do the same on a chair, topcoat, wait 3
days do adhesion test.

The vendor has ~$55 per chair and $2K into freight.

I charge $40/hr at this time.

What would you folks figure for time per one?

Any advise on the proposed schedule?

The other photo is my daughter apprentice.

Thanks,
