My first cordless hand tool was the Milwaukee 2.3V hand screwdriver
back in the early 80's. Since that time I have purchased dozens
of cordless drills/drivers from various manufacturers.
I was a big fan of Makita and Milwaukee in the 80's and 90's.
Then Stanley decided to put out the DeWalt line which became
the shops favorite for cordless drill/drivers.
Last year I purchased a Makita 6914D 12V 1/4" Hex Impact Driver.
This became the drill of choice not just by me but everyone who used it.
I have willingly walked across the shop to get it when I had a DeWalt,
Milwaukee and Bosch sitting right next to me.
I am looking to replace most of my older drills
with the new Makita 6916DWDE 12V.
Before doing so I thought maybe a few in the groop
might have a suggestion on their favorite cordless.
