Here are photos of my compressor room.
It's well vented on top and bottom.
I upgraded my air system for the shop a year ago.
I added the largest single phase compressor
my supplier had ( the grey one ).
7 1/2 hp, 80 gallon tank.
I also added the optional air cooler. It acts like a radiator.
It's located on top of the grey compressor
behind the compressor head.
It does a swell job of pulling the moisture and oil out of the
compressed air. The heated compressed air goes in the
copper tube in the top of the cooler and comes out of the
copper tube in the bottom cooling the air so the moisture falls out.
It works like your basic moonshine still.
There is also an automatic drip gadget thing
that purges the water after every cycle.
We run the dog out of it. (no pun intended Wendy)
Both compressors have the air lines hooked together
but are on different electrical circuits.
The older compressor ( the blue one ) is also ready to go
if I need it It mostly just sits. The blue compressor's
storage tank is good for holding another 60 gallons of air.
I did leave the guard off the belts to cut down on noise.
I do not have sound insulation on the walls of the compressor room.
