I need some help with identifying how some table legs
were originally made.  The table looks like it had claw
feet that have been altered. The client thinks that they
have been cut off, but I question if that would be the
case.

Has anyone seen something like this. I am thinking that
there was a metal piece that has been removed.  Any
comments greatly appreciated
