We're in the sanding process of a stripped solid Cherry tabletop
(it's a Drop leaf, with a leaf too) . I was amazed as to just how much
sapwood there was. There's more of the top I didn't take a photo of,
but it doesn't get any better.
This table is far from new. I suspect it's from about the 30's or 50's
from the way it's made and the materials used...not that it makes
much difference, as it's only a photo of the sapwood quantity.
I've already decided whether I'm going to use
a Dye or Pigmented stain to match the legs.
Just for conversation's sake, what would you use?
And for any particular reason?
