One of the methods used to go from Full size to Queen size.
This method was used as the customer did not want us to design
and create new posts which would eliminate the blocking
but significantly increase the labor and materials cost.
The woodworking labor involved took 11 hours.
Materials:
Black Walnut, 1 1/2 board feet of 5/4
Black Walnut 1 1/4 bd ft of 4/4
Poplar 1 1/2 board ft of 4/4
78 Sq. #8 drive screws
4 3/8" bolts and nuts
Then came the finishing of the new parts.
