This china cabinet has glass doors with many pieces of
slump glass in them. Slump glass is also called pillow glass.
Each panel is individally held in place with glaziers putty.
One panel is cracked.
How do I remove that cracked panel?
I know nothing about glaziers putty.
And then how do I set a new panel back into place,
also using glaziers putty?
The back panel to this china cabinet is cracked cross grain.
Do I repair? Replace? Flatten out and skin over?
The finish on the original is about as perfect a no-rub finish
as I have seen anywhere.
This china cabinet was made about 1910.
