This is a picture of a set of plant stands I have in my shop.
One is still in pieces, but both are missing this one carved piece.

Is the only way to replace this piece by carving a new one?
Is there some technique to make a mold of this intricate nature?
I may have to try my hand at carving,
but have never attempted something quite this intricate.

How would you handle this restoration in your shop?

By the way, both stands are abandoned pieces.
They've been laying around the shop in boxes for
probably 10 years. No idea who the owner is.
They are going to look real nice in our living room.
