Groop,

Thought I'd share these pics as I am feeling rather proud of
my accelerated learning curve due to my time here at Groop.

This was a very expensive Armoire (Drexel Heritage) in a local Dr's home.
I was called out to repair this 1.5" gouge out of the side of the armoire.
The customer did not want to go through the problem of returning the item,
and the furniture store was pleading for me to complete the repair,
thanks by the way to Carol and the Hotline for this referral.

I basically used some tootsie roll epoxy putty to fill in the gouge,
smoothed it with Green Magic (see Pro Refinishers mag, several
months ago) and began layering colors using Golden acrylic
Burnt Sienna and Burnt umber.

After two light coats, I dabbed on some Finish up, satin,
then applied a very light layer of some Bronzing powder
then applied Burnt Sienna with a light overcoat of Burnt umber.
Wiped on some finish up, flat sheen, crossed my fingers
and had the Doc come in to inspect.

It took him a few seconds to remember
where the damage was in the first place.
What a great feeling.

Total charge for services rendered: $183.00

Ain't this a great life?
