A Chippendale leg to me is straight forward although there are some
profile variations. We could not tell certain details from Baker.com Butler
table photos. Such as, the inside corner of each leg. Is it left with a 90
degree corner or was an inch or so cut off? No matter now, the job is
done and as you can see we chose 90. Also what was in question was,
if each corner bead had a cove next to it or not. We did not produce
one as you also can see by the photo. What was the overall thickness
dimension? We decided on 1 3/4" square.
Anyhow, I couldn't locate a Mahogany Chippendale leg in a length I
needed (18") and as I said earlier, I didn't want to make one
unnecessarily increasing the cost. Which it turned out I had to do after
all.
