I need to replace a missing center drop down leg on an
expandable dining table.  The leg needs to travel in a slide so
that it doesn't show when it is in the up (stored) position, but
can slide down into the middle of this table as all 4 leaves are
added.  I have fabricated the leg but need some sort of sliding,
locking bracket.  I spent an hour on the web, but came up
empty handed.  Anyone have any ideas?

Here is a picture of what the bottom of the table looks like.

Here is the final resulting addition to the table with the missing
center sliding leg.  I tried Bruce's solution using the double
hinged leg, but I didn't like the results.  I went back to Kevin's
inspired solution of using the drawer slide.  It centers itself just
fine as the leaves are put in and stays up, out of the way when it
should.  Though I might have stumbled upon this solution in time,
I am very grateful to the brainstorming that you folks participated
in on my behalf.  Go Groop!
