I thought I would share some of the education that happened
this summer at Dakota County Technical College.
Don Williams conducted two classes here through
the Smithsonian Museum, Technology and Preservation
of Coatings and The Conservation of Polychrome Surfaces.
Each class had several components --
here is one segment of the Polychrome class.
The mission was to create a Japaned surface from scratch
to help understand how to repair a polychrome piece.
