Here are two pics of a recent violin that came in my
shop.  The shellac finish on the original was either badly
damaged or a very poor shellac finish.  I stripped it with
alcohol and french polished it with a final coat of paste
wax.  Came out very nice.  The clients thought they had
a stradivarius, the label in the interior said Strantivarius.
