Veneer on drawer fronts and frame is very thick handsawn (you can

see the saw marks on underside of veneer) and the drawers are all

wonderful handcut dovetails (with makers marks still on).

 

As a side note I was able to preserve the original shellac finish with

cleaning then had a great workout in french polishing with waxy

orange shellac followed by a good waxing.
