I thought I would let you follow me on my new adventure of
building my new shop, I had planed it several years ago and
arranged financing which was completed last year in August
but because of 911 we put it off.
I got things rolling again this August when we applied for the
building permit to build it. It took 3 months to get it through the
building dept of Riverside Co. but they finally gave us a permit to build
and a few weeks ago we had the dirt moved and the pad completed.
When the port-a-potty arrived my wife said she felt it was
really going to happen. Construction started this weekend.
They have started to set the forms for the cement and
dig the footings. The building is going to be 1,000sq ft.
Not a big shop by any means but it will work well for a one-man shop.
The one luxury I will have is a 10ft. ceiling.
I sent some photos so you can see the work in progress
and will update it every week as we go along.
