Bob Klein shares:
We are gonna fix the top rail of this rosewood chair
from the 1875 era. Half of the rail above the finger
hole had been cut off, customer did not know this.

The top rail with the rough casting, the mold it the flexible blue piece to the
right

my fathers hands carving the two upper side pieces but not using rosewood

all done and at the upholstery shop

a closer view of the cast part done

Is it perfect? Nope, but it is in keeping with the
imperfect chair. We used smooth on as the mold
and casting material.
