Hello fellow Groopsters!
I have recently undertaken a new project and need some assistance, and I
know someone in Groop will have the right answer.
This silverware box below, which I am assuming it is, is missing a large
section of the part the silverware gets put into. I can see by the
individual sections in the box itself where the holes were vertically, but
not the size of or number of openings. I also do not have any of the
silverware that goes in it, so I can't guess...
If anyone has any information on this piece, and/or where to find some
pictures to duplicate the missing area, I would be Much obliged.

Here are photos of a pair of knife boxes I worked on a couple of years ago.
I might be able to lay my hands on a template of the cutouts. Would that
help?

To Paul:
I have an exact picture of the piece I need from the Hampton Antiques Site
Bob gave me. It's a little small, but I have formulated a plan to carry out
duplication successfully, so no templates are required- And I noticed the
front portion of the boxes is a bit different, But thank you anyway.
To Bob:
as a matter of fact, there are two signatures. One is on the upper right
border of the inside top-- Probably an owner, and the other...the most
astounding one is the signature I found on the Top of the bottom piece.
(cannot be seen unless disassembled, how classic is that?) Both of the names
I cannot read, but the Numbers on the bottom one I can read...
After the initials, it says "1712 mo no 7298"
My Pictures didn't turn out as clear as I had hoped, but I plan on using a
better camera next time. The first photo is the Signature itself. THe
next few are the tracings I did my best at, though it is only "an artists
rendition" The Last one is the owner signature, which I cannot make out...
