Jeff,
We use International Steel Wool
ordered in multiple cases
directly from the factory.
We definitely rub in a specific way.
We rub the steel wool WRAP opposite the grain
and rub the PAD with the grain.
Steel wool rubbed this way buffs.
Steel wool rubbed with the wrap following the grain scratches the surface.
