I really love those hand made wood touch up boxes
and have always wanted to make one.
However, I've always feared it would be too heavy.
The supplies alone are fairly heavy in my loaded touch up bag.
The time to make one has also hindered me
from creating my own custom bag/box.

For a few years now, I 've been using the bag in the photo.
Actually, my original got torched in the fire last year,
so this is the new one. It is a carry on luggage bag,
in which I made an interior box (thin plywood) to hold my gear.

Most importantly to me is the handle and wheels.
I did a lot of work at the Kennedy Center a few years ago
and learned the hard way by having to carry all my gear
from the parking garage nearly a 1/2 mile to the concert hall.
It was then I decided that wheels were a must.

I made the little powder box for my colors about 27 years ago
and it has performed great. Leather flap with a dato/dovetailed
lid keeps the powder in their place. I also picked up the little
plastic tote box at Staples to keep my brushes in.
This carry bag has 6-8 zipper compartments to separate
different tools and supplies. It cost about 50 bucks.

Respectfully submitted,
